“Why I Cope!”- The enduring poem of an ambitious…

Have you ever seen
me crumble under pressure?
I am game to heavy duty;
I’m even in for rough weathers.

No!
I don’t quit or change my stance,
Thumped, scratched or dragged.

I refuse to give in to neglect;
Or succumb to moochers;
And tear up in self-pity.
I’m sturdy & strong
Dependable Teak, Pine, Oak & Cedar.

I’m that chair coping with all,
Envisioning transforming
Into a throne someday.

Be the world’s most powerful seat;
In charge of some illustrious rear.

After you stand corrected, best take a seat. – mh clay

    Hi Kleio, luckily we have the best seat in the house, able to look at all your Mad Swirl poems and bio. I look forward to more giggles….and now I need to find my windup toys: a boxing kangaroo that flips over and a crab which sidles and more.
