For my ninth exam
my body decided to sit
long enough for the gynecologist to say
I don’t know what
you are doing
but keep doing it
My body so committed
to disobedience
decided to let itself
behave
train itself to heel and stay
to catch and crunch rewards
flavor of absence of pain
It didn’t need to dig
under the fence
instead it fetched its bones
stretched in its soft bed
went to the scary doctor
with only a whimper
no need for a leash
My body slobbered
covered me with kisses
