Appreciate your comments about my art, Sweet Dreams. Marie, if you look carefully at the stuffed animal, you will see a tiny gold knob of sorts. That knob goes through the plexiglass in the frame and can be turned a couple of times to play part of a music box sound that is part charming part creepy. The image I have when I play it is of a kid running down a long hall in his pjs, trying to get away from a parent who has told him/her that it is bedtime. The horizontal dinosaurs in the piece float through like those footsteps, and are covering the animal, a stand-in for the kid, as he finally goes down to sleep. And those layers are made from actual kids pjs, as it were.
If you feel comfortable sending me your email address at jeff@jeffmbender.com I can send you a short video of the piece being wound up and playing. It is very short, like me. Best to you Marie, and keep up the infuriating swirl!
