Aniruddha was born in 1974 in Yavatmal, Maharashtra and brought-up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Earned a graduate’s degree in Commerce in 1996 and from then on has worked in varied fields – Sales, Marketing, Banking, Automobiles, Market Research, and Social Media.

During his working years, he never knew he could use pen to write until six years ago, when he saw a family of three, crossing over the street, while returning home; reminded him of his daughter and wife. Just then the idea of exploring his writing skills struck him. For him, it was like going back in time; just to collect lost quill and ink.

Aniruddha likes writing poetry in free form, but he loves poems that follow rules. He credits learning poetry from his great friends on Facebook, Twitter, Google + and a host of other sites.

Today, he's authored three poetry books entitled Maiden Musings – Vol. 1 and 2, and Wings of Freedom. Being fond of children; he also has authored a short story book for children entitled ‘Once upon a time...’

Aniruddha Sastikar currently lives with his wife – Anshumati and daughter – Chinmayee in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
