I owed a lot of money.
I didn’t feel good about it
but it was very simple,
if I paid rent I didn’t eat.
It wasn’t fair to the landlord
to move out without paying.
I didn’t know what else to do.
I lived in the apartment
so she was entitled to rent.
I didn’t mean to cheat her
but I had no other choice.
I’ll move my things out tonight,
put them in a storage unit
and stay with friends for a while.
If I ever can afford it
I’ll pay back all that I owe.
I’d really like to do that,
but it wouldn’t be priority.
