If I die with a smile
on my face, do me
a favor and make
me look serious or
stoic. I do not
want to fool people
or make them believe
I was a happy person.
I have often been
disappointed, not
angry per se, just a
little bit sad but not
lonely. I just never
found what I was
lacking or looking
for. The doctor told
me perhaps I should
eat better and to
stay away from hard
liquor. He might have
just told me to give
up on having fun.
If I die with a frown
on my face, change
that look too. I do not
want people to think
I was not happy to die.
Death would just be
one more hardship
or disappointment.
I always thought there
would be more time
to make things right.
