4 Haiku: Summer Rain

by on July 18, 2021 :: 0 comments

summer rain
a baby sparrow’s
soft chirp

butterflies in silky stem
the fragrance of
plastic roses

immigrant gardener huddled
in a corner
the scent of dried leaves

before diagnosis
the sun protrudes
with its lump-sized flesh
