I heard a voice,
godlike, in the
rain. The voice made
a sound that scared
my soul. It was
a lonely day.
I felt alone.

I shut out the
voice. The godlike
voice boomed in the
rings of rain and
spread throughout the
earth. Every star
heard the loud sound.

bounced off the sun.

rose. Birds fell from
