A bit about Halo: "i first began exploring my artistic endeavors when i worked at home depot. i had notebooks filled with sketches, and i often fantasized about reamaking one of these sketches on a piece of cardboard and color it in to see what it would look like larger. so, using a sharpie, a piece of cardboard, and some paint from the oops department i created my first piece out of recycled material. the result was phenomenal, and the finished product took me less than 4 hours, as opposed to oil on canvas projects that took me 40-50 hours to complete."
"Instantly my process took a new organic direction; using scissors, glitter, glue, stencils, and a child-like sense of wonder, my process nowadays reflects that of a kindergarden art project."
artist statement: "i am very inspired inspired by pastels. i like the idea of primary colors being flooded with healing white light. my favorite colors to work with are pastel pink and blue, the social color scheme representation for girls and boys, and i especially like the two blended together to create a pale lavender color."
"it is my belief that we are in the midst of a sex war, a battle that has raged on for centuries. i also believe it is part of my purpose to help restore balance to the masculine and feminine energies. without sex war neutrality i do not think it is possible to truly fall in love with a partner, or yourself for that matter. we all have an opposite sex minority living inside of us. it is our inner relationship that is reflected by our external relationships."
